Some group members have ownership of VHF Marine Handheld radios to provide interoperability with marine services.
This Mobile / base station radio is for use by the group should it be required for use with our user services (Coastguard).
Licenced Amateur Radio Operators can apply for a supplementary “Ships Operating Licence” when successful in passing an amateur radio licencing course.
RAYNET used to have an MoU with the Coastguard which it is keen to renew.
